"Internal" Polling? Smells Like an Election Fraud Setup

I will never forget Dubyah’s calm, relaxed demeanor on election day 2000, as he was interviewed after Florida had been prematurely called for the Democrats, saying his campaign had internal information that Florida’s votes eventually would tally Republican.

Now McCain has “internal polling” that he is ahead in the states where public polls show Obama in the lead?

Smells like a setup for another stolen election.

We can all speculate that somebody (Jeb?) told Dubyah not to worry about Florida, that it was in the bag. But we do know that the Supreme Court eventually stopped the recount, making Dubyah the President Select instead of the President Elect, and robbing Al Gore of a fair and square victory in the opinions of many (500,000 opinions, at least).

Are Republicans now laying the groundwork for the “credibility” of upcoming election thefts with their cockamamie internal polling claims, i.e., “See, we told you we had internal polls that contradicted the … real polls.”

In 2000 there was no impassioned, Republican denial that the election was stolen, leading many, including me, to the conclusion that as long as they could get away with it, Republicans didn’t care whether they had stolen the election or won it.

Go ahead, call me paranoid… just don’t tell me you think Republicans are too principled to lie, cheat and steal to keep their grip on power.

I can't find Yeltsin's comments regarding the 2000 election in the internet anywhere, but I recall he said something like of course Bush's brother and father's friends on the supreme court awarded him the presidency, the Bush family is far more powerful than the Gore family. This is how these things are done, even in America, where they don't like to discuss such things.

Yeltsin was Russia's Bush, wasn't he? A regular guy, a "Boris 80-proof", as Palin would call him. The kinda guy you'd like to have a shot with on a cold, bitter gulag night. Actually, I liked the gaffe-prone, burly ol' guy, but is "free market" policies (AKA let your rich friends ransack the place) left Russia in an economic and financial ruin. Sound familiar?

No, and as I watched the 30 minute politico-mercial...crying...I am more hopeful than I have ever been for my country, for my fellow Americans (Repub. and Dem.) for my friends, neighbors and my family. Guess I bought it hook, line and sinker!!!! But I didn't neeed to be sold on him.
I am more scared than I have ever been too, that something awful will happen like in 2000. I am afraid to believe it because McCain too(like Bush), is calm and seems to be looking like he knows something we all don't know????????
All I know is it won't keep me from voting. I am soooooooooo ready to go cast my vote...Obama\Biden...praying deep inside, people please go out and vote, please don't let us down AGAIN!!!!!!!

Let's hope he knows he's going to lose, and he's just riding this out, going thru the motions. It would explain the lack of motivation on the Republicans' part. ;o)

Senior McCain. I mean Senator McCain, & Harry Truman & Dewey were in a recent dream of mine. I don't know what these things mean.

I'm not much of a dreamer & even less of a dream interpretor.

Cafe Observer has something even better than Valium for calming pre-election paranoia jitters... a loving dog that needs a home!

Click Cafe Observer's link to go to his website and learn how to rescue abandoned doggies... on the increase now because so many HOMES are being abandoned to foreclosure.

A tail wag and a good lick on the face... that might be even better than a Marguerita on election night!

Ohhhh Yakpate:

You really nailed it this time and the evidence is in a recent Palin statement. She is quoted as saying (yesterday I believe) that even if they don't win the election, she plans to stay on the "national" stage. So, there's proof positive that they have a plan to steal what they will not win.

But we shall overcome and win. We must re-double, triple our efforts...send even more emails than the 20 a day I've gotten from various groups for six months, forward the numerous viral campaigns, make you own yard signs and steal McCains, call people randomly and scream from the roof tops as loud as you can "Please don't let Queen Palin rule."

Because she's ready, don't ya know? MickyCain told us so last night on Larry King. That's right, you old white fuck, she's ready with her Evangelic speaking-in- tongues, real American who thinks evolution is a joke and the abortions are not okay even for rape and incest victums and oh yeah, she can't remember a damn thing she's read because she doesn't.... and would you please pass the Kronic so I can sample your joy too!

She's pathetic. I honestly believe that she sees herself as the new Jackie O and she will inherit the next Camelot. I never thought I would despise someone more than W., but Palin is almost there. Damn! I just wish she wasn't so hot! Drill baby Drill!
